Activities for Clients

Here at Oakleaf we have various different activities, groups and workshops that you might like to get involved with. It might be to learn new skills, find a new hobby, or just to meet new people and get out and about. Have a look at the schedule of events below to see what is going on this month.

We currently host activities in Guildford Town Centre, North Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath. You may also download the full calendars here. (Please note that the calendars are on 4 pages)

Yoga in Godalming

We’ve all heard that yoga is good for you, and for those of us that have tried it have discovered that it makes us feel better. Regular practice can offer all kinds of mental and physical health benefits. Some, like improved flexibility, are clearly evident. Others, including mental clarity and stress reduction, may be more subtle but are just as powerful.
When put together, all the benefits contribute to an increased feeling of well-being.

Oakleaf will be holding Yoga sessions in central Godalming every Monday at 4:15pm.

You will need to wear clothes that aren’t too restricting, mats will be provided. Beginners welcome.

The following courses have been designed to empower you to improve your experience on technology and day to day IT activities. They all run from 10-12 on their day and you are more than welcome to join just one or all 6 if you prefer!

Music is seen to impact fundamentally on the way people live their lives. Join our Guitar Lessons and express yourself creatively, feel more motivated, develop social and communication skills, gain greater awareness of yourself and others, build self-esteem and become more confident in making choices!

You will need to bring your own acoustic guitar. Booking is required so please speak with Annalise to book your space.

Colouring is a great way to introduce yourself to mindfulness. Join us in the Art Room for an afternoon of peaceful thinking, colours, mellow music and positive energy.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice which aims to improve general health and well-being. It is a type of meditation – a way of calming the mind and body in this ever crazy world we live in! Some people find a personal spiritual side to it, others use it for relaxation and strengthening the body and mind.

It is never too late to start learning Tai Chi. You will be amazed with what you can achieve in a short space of time!

The session takes place in Queen Elizabeths Park and is Free but spaces are limited so please speak with Annalise to book your space.

‘New Thoughts’ Workshops
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We are delivering evening workshops that will offer tools and tips on how to manage emotions.
Taking place at 7pm each workshop will last 1 hour and is completely FREE of charge.

They will be held at Oakleaf Enterprise in Guildford and there is only a maximum of 12 spaces per workshop. Therefore, it is advised that you speak with Annalise in Client Services as soon as possible to book your space and to avoid disappointment. You do not have to attend all five but you may do so if you feel you will benefit.

The subject dates are as follows:

  • Stress: Tuesday 26th September
  • Anger: Tuesday 3rd October
  • Communication and Assertiveness: Tuesday 10th October
  • Self-Esteem: Tuesday 17th October

Singing For Health

In partnership with Waverley and Guildford Borough Council we are excited to host a singing workshop with our clients led by a qualified singing instructor. These are a great way to improve breathing, posture and overall mental health and wellbeing. They are also a great chance to make friends, have fun and you do not need any singing experience.

We have limited spaces and booking is required so please speak with Annalise to ensure you do not miss out on this FREE activity!

Wellbeing walk in Camberley
11:00 am – 1:00 pm

We have started a walking group which runs every other Wednesday from 11am-1pm

The group will meet outside of High Cross Church . It is a great way to get fit, meet new people, and to see some of the beautiful countryside of Camberley.

Oakleaf Enterprise are providing another Anxiety Management course in partnership with the  Centre of Psychology. These 5 weekly workshops focus on teaching techniques for improving mood and managing general anxiety in order to achieve overall wellbeing.

It is also a great opportunity to meet new people throughout this 8 week course.

Join us to play football in North Guildford. It will be a great opportunity to get fit and learn new skills whilst making friends.

Music Production in Camberley

Over 6 weekly sessions, you will learn the basics of music  production, computer composition, mixing and live sound  recording using the latest production software and audio equipment.  Although this is a beginners course, clients will need to be computer literate and have an interest in music.
