Coffee Shop

Oakleaf increases basic standards of living by offering clients a subsidised healthy meal at midday. The Coffee Shop also provides refreshments for staff throughout the day. A number of clients assist the Cook to prepare meals, learn nutritional values, budgeting and skills that maintain independent living. Having a place to go at a regular time provides structure and focus for people that have been alone and unwell for a long period of time. Being occupied with meaningful activity in friendly surroundings has a positive effect on each client’s mental health.
