At Oakleaf we believe that a combination of training and support can help people rebuild their lives, which is why we provide additional services such as counselling, hypnotherapy and advisory sessions.
Counselling:
Through a collaborative relationship with the University of Surrey, we have gained the support of counsellors on placement who are undertaking a PsychD in Psychotherapeutic & Counselling Psychology. Sessions are available on two days each week, and are free to clients attending Oakleaf.
Confidence Courses:
Several times a year, Surrey County Council run a confidence course for our clients over the course of 12 weeks for one afternoon per week. This course teaches clients how to build their self-esteem and confidence. Providing that clients hold less than 5 GCSE passes and are in receipt of welfare benefits, they can join this class.
Debt Advisory Service:
Oakleaf also has a Citizens Advice Bureau volunteer who will provide advice on how to clear debts and energy bills arrears. Clients can make an appointment to see an advisor once a week by speaking to the client services department.
Hypnotherapy:
We are lucky enough to have a volunteer hypnotherapist once a week to help clients deal with: overcoming phobias; anger and stress management; controlling anxiety and fears; and beating addictions. Clients can book an appointment to see her through the client services department one day a week. You can learn more about Fiona and her hypnotherapy here.
