Upholstery is a very therapeutic practice, which involves:
- Restoring modern and traditional furniture
- Re-covering pieces such as: sofas, armchairs and dining chairs in new fabric
This course is assessed at Oakleaf by the Association of Master Upholsterers. Clients work towards either a level 1 (beginners), level 2 (intermediate) or level 3 (advanced) Traditional Upholstery qualification accredited as the industry-recognised standard. After completing the course, people often seek employment with an upholstery firm or start their own business.
