Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – Presentation Event

Back in June this year, Oakleaf was delighted to receive the news that they had been selected as winners of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2017.

On Monday 11th September Oakleaf held a presentation event to celebrate this news at The Guildhall, Guildford. Oakleaf supporters, staff, clients and volunteers were all invited to attend and enjoyed a glass of bubbly on arrival as well as a fantastic array of sandwiches, cakes, scones and goodies.  After a reading of the citation by The Deputy Lieutenant, The Lord Lieutenant of Surrey Micheal More-Molyneux presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary service to Oakleaf CEO Clive Stone, complete with a signed declaration from Her Majesty the Queen herself.

This was a fantastic chance for Oakleaf to recognise once more the incredible work carried out by all of our volunteers. Everyone involved, particularly the volunteers should feel immensely proud of the recognition that  this prestigious award represents.
