Activities for Clients

Here at Oakleaf we have various different activities, groups and workshops that you might like to get involved with. It might be to learn new skills, find a new hobby, or just to meet new people and get out and about. Have a look at the schedule of events below to see what is going on this month.

We currently host activities in Guildford Town Centre, North Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath.

Join Oakleaf on a trip to the gym where we will get to use all the equipment in a 1 hour session paid for by Oakleaf. Mindfulness in Godalming
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment, using techniques like meditation, breathing and yoga. It helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, we are better able to manage them.

Practising mindfulness can give people more insight into their emotions, boost their attention and concentration and improve relationships. It’s proven to help with stress, anxiety, depression and addictive behaviours, and can even have a positive effect on physical problems like hypertension, heart disease and chronic pain.

The sessions will be held every Tuesday at Café Mila in central Godalming.
NO COST – sessions are free
Everyone welcome, come along to help you manage stress, anxiety or anger better.

Taking place at 7pm each workshop will last 1 hour and is completely FREE of charge.

After popular demand we are happy to put Art Classes back onto the Oakleaf calendar. Art is known to help improve various mental and physical symptoms including, but not limited to, reducing pain, anxiety and tension. It can be beneficial to those who have experienced mental disorders, emotional abuse, cancer, post traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), people who are bi-polar, and a variety of other serious ailments.

Our Art Tutor will guide the group through painting, drawing and water colours.

Cost is £3 per session and you must sign up to the full 6 week course. Speak with Annalise to book your space!

Due to popular demand we have added an extra Art Class to our offering. This advanced class is specifically for people who have already completed our Thursday Art group and are looking for an extra challenge. It costs £10 a session and is a one off but keep an eye out for future advanced classes.

Sound Therapy Farnham
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Our Sound Therapy teacher will guide you through a 1 hour Healing Meditation to help reach a deep relaxed state as the harmonics, frequencies and vibrations of the Tibetan Bowls will take you to your own place of healing and reintegration. No matter where you are in your personal practice as a beginner or more experienced or if you are simply looking for peace of mind, mental clarity, relaxation or searching to deepen your level of spiritual awakening, these classes are for everyone where you will allow yourself to let go, relax, integrate and heal. For you to be as comfortable as possible so please wear clothing you’re happy lying down in and please bring a Yoga/Pilates mat, pillow for head or under knees, blanket and water.
