Activities for Clients

Here at Oakleaf we have various different activities, groups and workshops that you might like to get involved with. It might be to learn new skills, find a new hobby, or just to meet new people and get out and about. Have a look at the schedule of events below to see what is going on this month.

We currently host activities in Guildford Town Centre, North Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath.

What’s on this Month?

Mindfulness
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment, using techniques like meditation, breathing and yoga. It helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, we are better able to manage them.

Practising mindfulness can give people more insight into their emotions, boost their attention and concentration and improve relationships. It’s proven to help with stress, anxiety, depression and addictive behaviours, and can even have a positive effect on physical problems like hypertension, heart disease and chronic pain.

Drumming Workshop
11:00 am – 12:00 pm

This session is all about fun, socialising with other people, and learning something new. Learn how to play and use different drums, and be part of a drumming circle led by Ray – a qualified ‘Drum Circle Facilitator’ and music therapist. You don’t need any musical experience at all, just come along and get involved!
