NEWS: Chilworth Manor Picnic & Pimms

Can you think of a better way to spend a summer evening than in the grounds of a beautiful country manor with a pinnic hamper in one hand and a glass in the other, listening to some of the finest musicians for miles around? Neither can we!

The sun was shining and the Pimms was flowing. Oakleaf was honoured to be the beneficiary of the Chilworth Manor Picnic and Pimms’ event on Saturday 20th July. We saw some wonderful bands play on the evening, including performances from: Lady Luck, Sound Wave, and Festival Sons. 500 guests were dancing the night away in the stunning walled gardens of Chilworth Manor.

The Oakleaf team was also out in full force, with volunteers ensuring that the evening ran smoothly. Similarly, our CEO Clive Stone was given a Rockstar reception from the audience. He encouraged greater mental health awareness while stressing the impact Chilworth Manor Picnic and Pimms fundraising will have on our cause.

Furthermore, the evening generated a staggering £17,500; allowing Oakleaf to support hundreds of vulnerable adults in Surrey to manage their mental ill health. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the Wrigley Family for their generosity and for throwing what felt like one incredible party for Oakleaf!

If you would like to make a donation toward our mental health work, we would be incredibly grateful. For more details about upcoming events, click here.
