DESCRIPTION:It is an online 6-week course\, starting at 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday. The self-care group can be described as a peer support group for individuals actively seeking to improve their mental well-being through trying new tools and techniques. Sessions include being introduced to new tools\, discussions with others with similar experiences and reflection on lifestyle and daily practices of self-care.

DESCRIPTION:Think you can handle the heat?  \nRaise funds for Oakleaf by completing this once in a lifetime challenge! Oakleaf is delighted to be partnering with the Matrix Trust and Surrey Care Trust for a sponsored Firewalk event. The Firewalk is suitable for people of all physical abilities and is the perfect opportunity to grow your confidence by doing something completely out of your comfort zone. \nWhat to expect? \nYou will be fully supported with an in-depth training session led by an expert team of firewalking professionals – Firewalk UK. They will take you through how to safely complete your firewalk across hot coals. \nWe will also be there on hand to heat up the atmosphere and celebrate your amazing achievement. \nAfter the walk\, you’ll receive a certificate and we will take plenty of photos so you can proudly share them with friends and family. \nWhether you take part as an individual or as part of a group with friends of colleagues\, you can help Oakleaf provide support for hundreds of individuals in Surrey who need our vital mental health support. \nRegistration Fee: £20 \nSponsorship Target: £100 \nFor further information and tickets\, please see here.

SUMMARY:Guildford Lions' Fireworks Fiesta 2023
DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to announce that Oakleaf has been chosen as Guildford Lions’ charity of choice for this year’s Firework Fiesta on Saturday 4th November! \nBack by public demand are award winning band Blurasis – performing high energy covers of Blur\, Oasis\, Robbie Williams and many more.  \nThe stunning finale will be our fireworks display\, which will be provided by Pains Fireworks – the largest fireworks company in the UK. \nM.C. for the evening will be the ever popular Peter Gordon. \nThere will be a fully licensed bar\, a real ale marquee and a Munich bierkeller bar alongside multiple hot food and drink outlets including vegetarian and vegan options. \nThere will also be a children’s entertainment area\, which will feature a stunning fire show by Stagecraft Collective plus kiddies fairground rides\, a face painter\, and an opportunity to buy glow-in-the-dark toys. \n  \nWhen: Saturday 4th November. Gates open: 5pm. Live music: 6pm – 8.30pm. Fireworks: 8.30pm \nLocation: Stoke Park\, Guildford\, GU1 1ER \nTicket Price: Early bird tickets for adults are priced at £10 (plus booking fee) and will be available via Seetickets from August 1st until August 31st. \nGeneral tickets will be priced at £12 (plus booking fee) for adults. Children under 16 can attend for FREE but they must be accompanied by their parents/adults.
