DESCRIPTION:The Twilight Runway Challenge is your chance to Walk/Run/Cycle/Hop/Skip/Scoot 3K\, 5K\, or 10K around the Blackbushe Airport airstrip\, in support of Oakleaf and mental health! \nThe popular challenge organised by CMPP returns on Saturday 16th September 2023 from 5.30pm – a fantastic opportunity for the whole community to get together and get active\, and Oakleaf is thrilled to be a charity partner! Last year the event raised a wonderful £39\,000 for local charitable causes. \nLocation: Blackbushe Airport\, Camberley \nChallengers can enter the 3k or 5k routes or you can complete 10k by doing the 5k circuit twice. If you are planning to walk the course\, you will only be able to enter the 3k or 5k. \nAll Challengers will receive a goodie bag including a finisher’s medal. (This is not a chip timed event.) \n\nThe fun\, family event will take place along the airstrip itself (once the flights have stopped landing)! DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to announce that Oakleaf has been chosen as Guildford Lions’ charity of choice for this year’s Firework Fiesta on Saturday 4th November! \nBack by public demand are award winning band Blurasis – performing high energy covers of Blur\, Oasis\, Robbie Williams and many more.  \nThe stunning finale will be our fireworks display\, which will be provided by Pains Fireworks – the largest fireworks company in the UK. \nM.C. for the evening will be the ever popular Peter Gordon. \nThere will be a fully licensed bar\, a real ale marquee and a Munich bierkeller bar alongside multiple hot food and drink outlets including vegetarian and vegan options. \nThere will also be a children’s entertainment area\, which will feature a stunning fire show by Stagecraft Collective plus kiddies fairground rides\, a face painter\, and an opportunity to buy glow-in-the-dark toys. \n  \nWhen: Saturday 4th November. Gates open: 5pm. Live music: 6pm – 8.30pm.
