Team Oakleaf Participates in RideLondon-Surrey 100 2018

Huge thanks and congratulations to all of our amazing riders who managed to raise over £4,000 for Oakleaf so far!

In the run up to this year’s Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 the UK was in a scorching heatwave, but on the day torrential wind and rain made visibility difficult, though the temperature was blessedly cooler!

Team Oakleaf – made up of Bernard, Colin, Daniel, Darren, David, and Rupert – made it across the finish line in great time despite the soggy conditions.

A special mention must go to Rupert Kemp, whom many of you will know is the brilliant volunteer in our café and allotment.

Already doing so much for Oakleaf, this was Rupert’s first attempt at RideLondon and he made great time on his heavier hybrid bike. He is already planning to participate next year on a proper racing bike to improve his time and continue fundraising for Oakleaf.
