Woking Rotary Swimathon
Join a team of six and take part in Woking Rotary’s Swimathon and help raise vital funds for Oakleaf!
Date: Sunday 18th October
Where: Woking Pool in the Park, GU22 9BA
Teams: 6 swimmers (although team sizes can vary)
You’ll take part as a relay team, swimming one length at a time and resting at the end of the lane between lengths. The whole team will swim for 55 minutes, aiming to complete as many lengths as possible.
The event is suitable for confident swimmers aged 8 and over. You need to be comfortable and safe in deep water, but you don’t need to be a particularly strong or fast swimmer, you can only swim one length at a time if you wish to, and everyone can contribute at their own pace.
The average team may complete around 100 lengths, but stronger swimmers can simply swim more lengths if needed. There’s no pressure to compete. Taking part, having fun and supporting Oakleaf is what really matters!
It’s a fantastic opportunity to get active, and help raise money to support people experiencing mental health challenges across Surrey.
If you’d like to take part, please get in touch with Jane: janefelton@oakleaf-enterprise.org
Further information about the Swimathon can be found on Woking Rotary’s Swimathon page.
We’d love to have you on the team, come and make a splash for Oakleaf!
