Welcome to Oakleaf!

Oakleaf is the only mental health charity in Surrey working as a social enterprise to provide vocational training for those suffering from mental health issues.

We offer training in horticulture, upholstery, IT and print finishing, enabling people to acquire new skills and ultimately return to work. Alongside these we offer a range of Social Inclusion Activities that cater towards building confidence, physical health and wellbeing.

Through their placement at Oakleaf, our clients are able to gain up-to-date qualifications, practical experience and increase their confidence levels.

Oakleaf also operates as a social enterprise, selling high quality upholstery and gardening services at competitive rates.

 COVID-19 UPDATE

For tips and resources for looking after your mental health and wellbeing during this difficult time, download our Resource Guide here.

You can also download a Coronavirus Anxiety Workbook here or for a regularly updated version, click here.

Firstly, we would like to say we hope everyone is keeping safe and well and if you have any symptoms, including but not limited to a sore throat, cough or fever, please do go on the NHS website to check your symptoms: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19

In line with the latest Government Advice, several Oakleaf services will be on hold until further notice: Upholstery, IT and most Wellbeing Activities have been cancelled, and we are informing those impacted by this.

However, from next week we will be providing live streaming of at least one wellbeing activity a day. If you would be interested in joining these sessions please send your email address to Annalise Baker. We will then send out any joining instructions and a full list of what will be available. This will include:

  • Mindfulness
  • Tai Chi
  • Fitness/Home workouts
  • Group sessions where people can dial in and chat as a group to catch up and maintain some social contact. These will be facilitated by a member of client services.

In addition, Client Services are offering 30 minute sessions on the phone. These can be used as a catch up chat, to give advice on how to maintain wellbeing whilst being at home and also to inform you of local support available if you are in need of extra help.

The Safe Haven remains open for those in crisis between 6pm-11pm every night.

We are constantly reviewing the situation and the services we are able to provide and will of course keep everyone up to date.

We hope everyone is keeping well and safe and if you feel you need any extra support please either email me on annalisebaker@oakleaf-enterprise.org or call us on 01483 303649 / 07753 255078.
