Covid-19 FAQs

Are the Oakleaf offices now open?

We are pleased to be up and running again and we look forward to welcoming you to training, counselling and wellbeing activities! As per the latest government advice (October) for medium and high tier Covid-19 alert levels, you are permitted to attend work or charitable-related activities, including support groups of up to 15 people.

We are open for clients with Covid-19 safety measures in place, including the use of a QR poster to aid track & trace. Please visit our ‘Covid-19 Update’ page for all of the latest updates and information regarding our services, health advice and guidance.

Whatever the level of restrictions during the upcoming winter months, Oakleaf will be here to ensure all clients have access to support—be that face-to-face, online or over the phone. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact: annalisebaker@oakleaf-enterprise.org

What measures are in place to ensure Oakleaf is safe?

We are complying with the latest Government guidelines around the safety of our staff and clients including: taking your temperature upon arrival, limiting numbers, maintaining a safe social distance, and wearing face coverings when walking around the building. If you are concerned, you have the option to wear your face mask at all times but this is not necessary.

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well and if you have any Covid-19 symptoms, including but not limited to a cough or fever, please do go on the NHS website.

What is Oakleaf’s cleaning regime?

We have two cleaners that come in 7 days a week. All communal spaces, toilets, objects, floors and touchable surfaces are disinfected and cleaned every day. Sanitiser and masks are available throughout the building.

Client Services FAQ’s

Can I attend with my child as I don’t have childcare?

Unfortunately, children are not allowed to attend Oakleaf activities.

Can my friend come along too?

If your friend wants to come and support you at any assessments or show arounds, they are more than welcome. However, if they wish to come to a session with you but are not an Oakleaf client, they may have to wait outside, if the capacity is full. If your friend would like to sign up to Oakleaf activities, they are more than welcome to refer themselves using the referral form on our website.

Is there a charge?

We do charge for some of our activities to help towards the cost of materials, room hire and qualified activity leaders. Client Services will advise you whether the activity you attend includes a charge.

What if I don’t have any money?

If you cannot afford any of our activities, please speak with Client Services. We do not want payment to be a barrier and can arrange a way to make the activities accessible to all. This can include providing a set number of free vouchers.

Is there parking?

We have no parking at our centre on Walnut Tree Close except in exceptional circumstances. However, there are plenty of car parks in Guildford Town Centre and there is sometimes free 2-hour parking on Walnut Tree Close. Some of our outreach venues have parking. It is always best to check with Client Services who can advise on where to park.

Can I bring my support worker?

You are more than welcome to bring your support worker to any assessments or show arounds with us. They are also welcome to support you at any of our activities although if the activity is full, they may not be allowed in.

Can I smoke?

All Oakleaf activities are non-smoking. Please enquire about each venue’ s designated smoking area.
