We are delighted to announce that Catalyst and Oakleaf are working in partnership to deliver a new pilot service in Guildford to cater for 18- 25 year olds facing mental health challenges and in need of emotional support, particularly those experiencing distress out of hours.

The Young Adult Safe Haven is located next door to the current adult Safe Haven in Guildford at Oakleaf’s premises.

This pilot service will currently run through March 2024.

Young Adult

The team consists of two Young Adult Safe Haven Support Workers who will engage with attendees, provide emotional support if needed and signpost as required. Should someone present in crisis, they will be signposted to the current Safe Haven next door in order to be seen by a Community Psychiatric Nurse.

Similar to the current Safe Havens, the Young Adult Safe Haven operates as a drop in service and no appointment is needed. This free walk-in service is adjacent to the main adult Safe Haven, with a separate entrance.
