Mental Health Training & Awareness

Mental Health First Aid Training

MHFA is an internationally-recognised training course that helps you manage wellbeing and minimise the impact of mental ill-health on work and life. The training courses teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards support.

We have training options to suit a range of timescales and budgets, designed to benefit employees, line managers, HR professionals and senior leaders alike–to empower all your people to meet challenges in the organisation head on.

Participants’ average confidence and knowledge improvements after

completing our 2-day MHFA course in December 2024. Scored out of 10:

“I feel that I have been equipped with vital knowledge, which I can use to support colleagues, friends and family. Our instructor Dan was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions the group asked. Thank you for a wonderful course.”

“This course was a real game changer for me, as my understanding of mental health was minimal at best. I would strongly recommend this course to others who wish to understand more about mental health and the benefits of becoming a Mental Health First Aider.”

“I recently went on a 2-day training course to become a Mental Health First Aider and must say, it was one of the most informative, rewarding things I have experienced for a number of years. The training was provided through Oakleaf Enterprise.”

“We have been very pleased with the sessions delivered by Oakleaf on Mental Health Awareness. We have run several sessions, some aimed at our line managers specifically and others which invited all employees to participate. Jen Clay, our presenter, was able to tailor the sessions to our needs and focus the presentations on relevant topics for our organisation, balancing the sometimes difficult topic of discussing mental health with compassion and understanding. Feedback from individuals has been extremely positive and we look forward to continuing to work with Oakleaf in the future.”

Mental Health Awareness Sessions

In addition to Mental Health First Aid training, Oakleaf offers several mental health awareness session options to give employees increased knowledge, awareness and confidence to support the mental health and wellbeing of their colleagues and themselves.

“The session (2-hour Introduction to Mental Health Awareness) was very insightful and helpful. I will definitely use some of the tools to improve mental health in my workplace.”

– Samantha Busingye, Care Manager at IRC Care Services

On our 1-hour session: “The workshop was informative and impactful. What really resonated with me and some of my top take-aways from the session were the statistics, they helped illustrate the prevalence of mental health issues in the workplace and the importance of addressing stigma and also the advice on how to support colleagues was practical and relatable. I feel more equipped to help and support others, both in the workplace and in personal life.”
