21 Jul NEWS: Albury Music Festival
The sun was shining and the crowds were out, with over 3,000 people attending Albury Music Festival on Sunday 21st July!
It was a fantastic afternoon of music, showcasing many local musicians including; Ghosts, Annouska Assisi, Straight Circles, Fetcham Draught, The Jackie Lynton Band, and many many more.
We also saw the likes of our very own Oakleaf band ‘Arx Vanitas’ on the big stage; a covers band primarily based in and around Guildford, which formed in 2018 and since then have performed in pubs, music festivals and charity gigs.
This year Oakleaf were lucky enough to be the beneficiary charity for the 2019 festival. The organisers invited a team of Oakleaf volunteers to bucket collect and continue to spread awareness of the vital work we do. It was a wonderful day and an incredible platform to share our services with the Surrey community.
We are pleased to announce that this event raised over £6,000 for Oakleaf! So, we want to say a massive thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters who made an appearance; as well as the Albury Music Festival Committee for choosing Oakleaf – it really does make all the difference.
If you would like to make a donation toward our mental health work, we would be incredibly grateful. For more details about upcoming events, click here.
