Employment Support

Employment Support

Our three-year ‘Pathways to Work’ Employment Project, funded by The National Lottery, focuses on delivering tailored employment training and mentoring for clients.

The project operates as a friendly, unpressurised drop-in service, offering clients a safe space to acquire the skills, confidence and training needed to return to paid employment or participate in voluntary work.

Our dedicated employment advisors offer personalised one-to-one emotional support. They conduct workshops on various topics such as: career advice, CV writing, job applications, interview techniques and more. Clients also benefit from a thriving ‘Job Club’ every Wednesday and the opportunity to attend external events.

In addition, we run ‘Learn, Lunch, Learn’ sessions, allowing clients to complete a Digital College course in a single day, including: basic Microsoft Word and Excel, social media skills, bookkeeping and more.

We offer accredited online training through Digital College and GoSkills. Oakleaf also hosts ‘Experience Matters’ workshops featuring inspiring guest speakers who are specialists in their respective fields.
