Gambling Support

Oakleaf has expanded its Bridge the Gap Trauma-Informed Outreach Service to offer dedicated support to women across Surrey impacted by gambling-related harm – directly or indirectly. This includes family members and carers, and extends to minority communities (ethnically diverse backgrounds, learning disabilities, veterans, neurodivergence).

Support includes:

  • 1:1 Outreach – Practical and emotional support tailored to the individual, including help with mental health, debt, appointments, and access to services.

  • Peer Support Groups – Weekly, recovery-focused sessions led by trained facilitators and shaped by lived experience, using SMART Recovery and conversational formats.

This service is rooted in trauma-informed care, responding to the findings of Surrey’s JSNA, which highlighted a need for more targeted, sensitive support for women.
