Scott took part in some of our outreach wellbeing activities and enjoyed them so much he became a volunteer.
‘I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you for all you have done to help me improve my mental health. Whether it was courses, workshops or groups, each one I attended, in some way, had a positive effect on my wellbeing and enabled me to progress with my recovery.
In particular, I wanted to express the benefit I got from being given the opportunity to volunteer and take a more responsible role with some of the activities. I found taking an interest in the wellbeing of others a very rewarding experience that has helped enhance my own sense of self-worth. It also allowed me to gain experience, build confidence and improve my self-esteem.’
