NEWS: Mental Health Awareness Week Challenge 2020

Mental Health Awareness Week: 18-24 May 2020. This year’s theme is Kindness.

Mental health awareness week challenge – walk, cycle or run a total distance of a marathon over the course of the week (18-24 May), along with making one small (or big!) act of kindness each day.  This could be an act of kindness toward a friend, member of your family, stranger or to yourself.

In these times of uncertainty and isolation, we need community and kindness now more than ever. We are calling on YOU to use your feet to help Oakleaf get back on its feet, and to leave a path of kindness behind you. The details:

    • What: 26.2 miles + 7 acts of kindness
    • When: Between 18-24 May 2020
    • Why: To raise vital funds for Oakleaf, to raise awareness of mental health issues, and to show kindness to yourself and others!
    • How: All you need to do visit Virgin Money Giving to set up your fundraising page. Set a target, upload a photo, write about what you’re doing, and get sharing!

Be sure to tag Oakleaf on social media: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn

Many of us are worried about Coronavirus and how it will affect us and those we love. That’s why, this #MHAW, we encourage you to share your stories so others can see that they’re not alone in the challenges they’re facing.
