"My time at Oakleaf made a real difference to my recovery."
"I've met a wide variety of people and made some life-long friendships."
Our Mission
Oakleaf Enterprise empowers people with mental health needs and/or other disabilities to lead independent, productive and fulfilling lives by providing opportunities toward employment.
We empower people who have mental health needs to gain meaningful employment and satisfying careers. With exceptional patience, empathy and support Oakleaf clients are encouraged to:
Use their inherent abilities to develop employable skills and gain a qualification.
Restore the confidence and self esteem that’s been damaged by a short or long term mental illness.
Develop the interpersonal, practical and academic skills they need to rebuild their lives.
Work strengthens independence and dignity. We understand that as a disabled group, people with mental health needs face considerable barriers when competing in the open job market. We support them to overcome these barriers by offering a comprehensive back to work service. Since 1997, hundreds of people have come to Oakleaf for support; they have gained nationally recognised qualifications and/or work experience in IT, horticulture, upholstery and catering.
